Miami Yacht Charters Without the Middleman

Most yacht rental platforms in Miami charge 15–25% booking fees on top of the vessel price. Nauty 360 operates directly — you pay the charter rate, nothing more. Every yacht in our Miami fleet comes with a USCG-licensed captain, fuel for the standard route, and safety equipment. No hidden extras at checkout.

Miami's yacht market is oversaturated with listings from aggregator sites where the vessel, captain, and insurance are three separate parties. We own the relationship with the captain and vessel on every booking, which means a single point of contact from quote to boarding.

Our Miami fleet covers 40 ft sport yachts for groups of 6–12, 65 ft motor yachts for groups up to 30, and 90 ft luxury yachts for up to 50 guests. All vessels depart from Bayside Marina (Downtown), Coconut Grove, or Miami Beach Marina depending on your hotel location.

Break-Even Math: Nauty 360 vs. Platform Rentals

A 55 ft motor yacht on GetMyBoat or Boatsetter lists at roughly $3,800 for 4 hours. Add the platform fee (18–22%) and that becomes $4,500–$4,640. The same vessel booked direct through Nauty 360 is $3,800 flat. On a single 4-hour charter the saving is $700–$840 — enough to cover open bar for 12 people. On a full-day booking the platform fee savings exceed $1,200.

Miami Yacht Destinations

All routes depart from Downtown Bayside or Miami Beach Marina. Your captain adjusts the route based on sea conditions, group preference, and charter duration.

🌊

Biscayne Bay

The default route for 4-hour charters. Calm, protected waters — ideal for groups new to yachting. Skyline views of Downtown, Brickell, and the Port. No open-ocean exposure.

Star, Palm & Hibiscus Islands

Miami's celebrity island chain, visible from the MacArthur Causeway. Your captain anchors nearby for photos. 15 minutes from Downtown departure.

Haulover Sandbar

Miami's most popular anchorage party spot. Fill up on weekends — arrive before noon to get a good position. Shallow water, ideal for swimming off the stern. 35–40 minutes from Bayside.

🌍

Key Biscayne & Stiltsville

Stiltsville — 7 wooden structures on stilts in the middle of Biscayne Bay, a national historic landmark. Full-day charters only. Cape Florida Lighthouse visible from deck.

🏝

Fisher Island

No bridge access — only reachable by boat or helicopter. Your captain cruises past the island for aerial-style views of the most expensive zip code in the US. Add-on for Biscayne Bay route.

🌞

Sunset Cruise — Government Cut

Pass under the PortMiami cruise ship lanes at golden hour. Government Cut separates Miami Beach from Fisher Island — wide channel, dramatic sunset views, cruise ships departing. 2-hour minimum.

How to Book a Private Yacht in Miami

1

Send your date, group size and preferred route

WhatsApp or email. Include the occasion (birthday, corporate, anniversary) if relevant — it helps us match the right vessel size and captain personality.

2

Receive availability and final price within 30 minutes

We send 2–3 vessel options with photos, capacity, and an all-in price. No hidden fees revealed at the end. What you see is what you pay.

3

Confirm with a 30% deposit

Deposit is paid by credit card or bank transfer. This locks your vessel, captain, and time slot. Balance is due 72 hours before departure.

4

Receive boarding instructions 24 hours before

Exact marina gate, slip number, parking instructions, and your captain's name and phone. We send this even when the original contact is different from the person actually boarding.

5

Board and sail — nothing left to arrange

Arrive 15 minutes early. Your captain handles navigation, anchoring, and safety briefing. Ice and water are on board. Everything else — catering, music, decorations — is arranged in advance if requested.

When a Nauty 360 Yacht Charter is NOT the Right Choice

  • You want a bareboat (self-skippered) rental. We only operate captained charters — Florida law requires a USCG license for commercial passenger vessels, and operating without one risks fines above $40,000.
  • Your budget is under $800 for 4 people. Per-person on a shared tour ($65–$120) is a better value for solo travelers or couples without a group.
  • You need same-day booking on a peak Saturday in February. We are typically fully booked 2–3 weekends ahead during high season. Contact us Tuesday for weekend availability.
  • Your group exceeds 50 guests. We max out at 50 aboard our largest vessel. Larger events need a party boat operator with different USCG licensing.
  • You want to go to the Bahamas tomorrow. Bahamas-capable offshore charters require 5–10 days of advance notice for customs paperwork, weather windows, and fuel planning.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a yacht rental in Miami cost per day?
A full-day private yacht charter in Miami (8 hours) ranges from $1,500 for a 40 ft sport yacht up to $15,000+ for a 90 ft luxury mega yacht. The most common booking — a 55–65 ft motor yacht for 15–25 guests — runs $4,000–$7,500 for a full day, captain and fuel included. Platform sites (GetMyBoat, Boatsetter) add 18–22% in fees on top of those rates.
Is the captain always included in Miami yacht rentals?
Yes — all Nauty 360 Miami charters include a USCG-licensed captain. This is also a legal requirement: commercial passenger vessels operating in US waters must be commanded by a federally licensed operator under 46 CFR. Any platform offering a captainless yacht for hire on Biscayne Bay is operating outside the law. Budget for a 15–20% tip ($120–$800 depending on charter cost) which is separate from the vessel rate and expected by convention.
What is the best time of year to rent a yacht in Miami?
November through April is Miami's nautical peak season: air temperatures 72–82°F, water temperatures 74–78°F, and easterly trade winds keeping seas calm in Biscayne Bay. Weekday charters in January or February offer the best combination of ideal weather and vessel availability. Avoid Miami Art Basel week (first week of December) and the week before Memorial Day — prices spike 20–35% and availability is near zero.
Where do yachts depart from in Miami?
Nauty 360 departs from three Miami marinas depending on your location: Bayside Marina (Downtown, adjacent to Bayside Marketplace — closest to Brickell and Wynwood hotels), Miami Beach Marina (South Beach end of Alton Road — closest to South Beach and Miami Beach hotels), and Coconut Grove Marina (southernmost option, best for Key Biscayne and Stiltsville routes). Your captain confirms the boarding point 24 hours before departure.
How far in advance do I need to book a yacht in Miami?
Weekdays year-round: 48–72 hours is usually sufficient. Weekends November through April: book 2–3 weeks ahead. During Art Basel (December), Super Bowl weekends, and Memorial Day weekend: 4–6 weeks minimum for larger vessels. We always confirm availability within 30 minutes of inquiry. If you contact us Monday for a Saturday and we're fully booked, we'll tell you immediately and suggest alternatives.
Can I bring my own food and drinks on a yacht in Miami?
Yes. Most charters allow guests to bring their own food and beverages at no extra charge. We provide ice, a cooler, and cups. If you prefer catered service — a bartender, chef, or catering company — that is arranged as an add-on. Florida law prohibits consuming alcohol on vessels by minors. Your captain enforces this.
