Isla Saona, Catalina Island, Bayahibe and sunset cruises — private lanchas and catamarans departing from Casa de Campo marina. Fully crewed, year-round.
Casa de Campo's marina is one of the Caribbean's finest — and one of the most underused jumping-off points for private day charters. While resort guests line up for 150-person catamaran tours to Isla Saona, a private speedboat gets you there in under 40 minutes, drops anchor at the sandbar before the tour boats arrive, and lets you stay as long as you want.
Nauty 360 operates private charters out of Marina Casa de Campo (La Romana). Every charter includes a certified Dominican captain, crew, cooler with ice, fuel, life jackets, and snorkeling equipment. No mandatory group schedules. No strangers on your boat.
All routes depart from Marina Casa de Campo. Departure time is set by you.
The Dominican Republic's iconic island in Parque Nacional del Este. 25–40 min by private speedboat. Sandbar swimming, palm-lined beaches, lunch stop. Up to 8 guests.
15–20 min northeast of Casa de Campo. "The Wall" dive/snorkel site has 30–40 ft visibility. Shallow reef on the east side ideal for beginners. Less crowded than Saona.
Authentic Dominican fishing village 20 min west. Quiet beach, fresh ceviche at the dock, and access to Dominicus beach. Good for families wanting a lower-key day.
3-hour evening cruise along La Romana coast with Casa de Campo resort views, drinks on deck. Up to 20 guests on 40-ft lancha. Best 5–8 pm year-round.
All vessels are fully crewed. Fuel and equipment included. Dominican Republic national park entry fee for Isla Saona (~$5–$10 per adult) is paid separately.

The famous "Saona catamaran" tours pack 80–150 strangers on a single vessel, follow a fixed 6-hour itinerary, and arrive at the sandbar when 12 other boats do. Private charter means 8–30 guests, your schedule.
Tour boats congregate at El Banco de Arena sandbar between 10 AM and 1 PM. A private speedboat departing at 7:30 AM from Casa de Campo marina arrives at 8:00–8:15 AM — the sandbar is nearly empty.
"The Wall" off Catalina's north coast is a vertical reef drop from 15 to 130 ft with 30–40 ft visibility in dry season. It is one of the top 5 dive/snorkel sites in the Dominican Republic and less visited than Saona.
The Caribbean side of the DR sees 1–2 ft swells and 15–20 knot easterly winds December–April. September–October brings tropical weather patterns; some charters are rescheduled during active systems.
Resort-package Saona tours typically run $90–$130 per person for a shared catamaran with 80–150 guests. Here is how the math compares against a private lancha at $800:
| Group Size | Resort Tour Cost ($110/p avg) | Private Lancha ($800) | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 guests | ~$220 | $800 | Resort tour wins — private is 3.6x more expensive |
| 4 guests | ~$440 | $800 | Resort tour still cheaper; private adds full flexibility |
| 6 guests | ~$660 | $800 | Private nearly equal — $140 more for an exclusive boat |
| 8 guests | ~$880 | $800 | Private wins — save $80 + total privacy + choose arrival time |
| 10 guests | ~$1,100 | $800 | Private wins convincingly — save $300 with a boat to yourselves |
| 14 guests | ~$1,540 | $1,500 (40-ft) | Private wins — same price, exclusive experience |
