You want to drive the boat yourself. Mexico requires a licensed captain on all charter vessels. All Nauty 360 charters are fully crewed. Self-drive rentals exist in calmer lagoon areas — we don't offer them.
You're booking a whale shark trip in October. Whale shark season ends in September. We won't sell you a “whale shark charter” in October — that would be a reef snorkeling trip in whale shark season's name.
Your group is 2 people and you want Isla Mujeres cheap. Ferry from Puerto Juárez runs $10 USD round-trip and takes 20 min. For 2 people, a private charter ($1,350+) is a luxury, not a necessity.
You need Cozumel by speedboat. Cozumel is 100 km south — a 3+ hour offshore crossing each way, not practical for a day charter. Fly AeroMéxico Express ($60–80) or take the Playa del Carmen–Cozumel ferry instead.
Water, soft drinks and beer are included on every boat, and several catamarans include a full bar (see each boat); food is not included. You can bring your own food and drinks.

Yes — whale shark season runs May through September in Mexican Caribbean waters approximately 1.5–2 hours from Cancún. Hotel pickup starts at 6 AM, with the boat departing the marina between 7:00 and 7:30 AM and reaching the feeding grounds by 8:30 AM. A CONANP permit is required (included in our price). Outside season, the same area offers world-class reef snorkeling and manta ray encounters.
25–30 minutes by private speedboat. A 4-hour charter gives you 2 full hours on Isla Mujeres. A 6-hour charter lets you explore El Centro village, swim at Playa Norte (consistently ranked top Caribbean beach), snorkel at Manchones Reef, and have lunch at a beachside restaurant before returning.
